| Episode 11 |
10/19/02 |
As Rex King waits
inside the steel caged ring for the match to begin, the members
of the Hercules Factory wonder where Mantaro is. Introduction
announcements are made and when it is Terry's name that is
mentioned, we see him suspended and tied up in rope, hanging
near the opposite side of the cage as Rex King. He has a steel
mask over his face. Rex King slashes at him with his claws and
Terry the Kid falls to the mat, free of his bonds. They are
ready to start when Sunshine makes the announcement that there
will be a guest referee! Entering the venue, in a seafood themed
costume, is Mantaro, carried on the shoulders of three females.
Everyone is shocked that Mantaro will referee because he is an
idiot! Before the match begins, Mantaro makes Terry the Kid
remove his forearm covers because they are illegal in the IWF
rules. They get into and argument and bicker for a short time.
As the match begins, Rex King morphs his claw into the T-Rex
head and chomps down on Terry's left shoulder, breaking his
shoulder guard. But when Terry bites Rex King in the face,
Mantaro calls a foul for biting. Terry argues that Rex bit him
first, but Mantaro explains that technically it wasn't a bite
because the T-Rex head was morphed from a hand, so really it was
claws and not teeth digging into him, and therefore wasn't a
bite. They argue some more. The T-Rex head then bites Terry's
right shoulder, breaking that guard as well. They fight back and
forth, until Terry does the Texas Tornado on Rex King, and
drives him head first into the canvas. Terry yells for Mantaro
to call him the victor, but Mantaro looks on with an empty
headed stare and does nothing. Rex King pulls his head from the
mat and begins an assault on Terry. After beating Terry pretty
badly, he rears back for a massive T-Rex head attack and as it
seems like Terry's going to get creamed, Mantaro grabs Terry and
moves him out of the way, thus causing Rex King's T-Rex head to
bust through the cage instead of Terry. Sunshine storms into the
ring speaking of Mantaro's interference, but Mantaro quickly
charges Sunshine with interference and excessive arguing with
the referee, and tells him to get out of the ring. While Mantaro
berates Sunshine, Terry notices that Rex King in in serious
disarray from the pain he is feeling in his T-Rex head, caused
by it smashing through the cage. He takes advantage of the
situation and applies a menacing stretch hold to the appendage.
As Terry the Kid's pressure is applied, we see the T-Rex head
begin to turn to bone as the skin withers away. Eventually, Rex
King uses the T-Rex head to chomp down on the tail arm and gets
enough leverage to get free of the hold. They wrestle some more,
until Terry gets Rex King into a leg lock. Sunshine begins to
taunt Terry that he can't do any damage with small holds against
such a big opponent, and that he is going to be a loser, just
like his dad. He continues to taunt him as the episode ends. |
| Episode 12 |
10/19/02 |
Continuing where we
left off, Terry has a flashback of himself as a kid in a
sparring ring, suplexing a much bigger sparring partner, when
his dad tells him to practice the small holds, instead of
attempting the bigger moves. Terry Man's reasoning is that they
are built for the small moves and not for the big moves. it is
in the family genes, he says. Back to the match at hand, Terry
the Kid, hating to be compared to anyone, especially his dad, he
decides to do a big move. Sunshine's plan worked. Terry reverts
his hold to a suplex and strains his shoulder on the way down,
hurting himself more than Rex King. Rex King uses this to his
advantage until Terry put him in the spinning toe hold. Sunshine
taunts Terry again, but to no avail. Rex King however reverse
the hold into a triangle hold, but Terry predicting this
reverses it one more time into a a back wrenching submission
hold. Mantaro asks Rex King if he wants to submit and Sunshine
yells out NO! Rex King asks Sunshine if he can pass out then and
Sunshine instructs him to use the secret plan. Rex King then
whips his tail arm around as if to whack Terry, but instead
pounds Mantaro in the face with it, causing a delay. Mantaro
turns around crying with a lump on his face the size of a beef
bowl and Terry accuses Rex of hitting Mantaro on purpose. The
match is back on as Rex whips his tail arm at Terry, making him
dance, and then wallops Mantaro again on the other cheek.
Delaying the match again, Rex King has enough time to
recuperate. He uses this advantage to get Terry the Kid in the
same tear apart grapple that he did to the steel girder in
Episode 10. With the T-Rex head pulling one way, and the tail
arm pulling another, it looks as if Terry will soon be ripped in
two. Rex King makes a sarcastic remark and Mantaro fires one
back. Mantaro's remark is so cold that it makes Rex King drop
Terry the Kid. It seems that Rex is weakened by cold, as he is
cold blooded. Even cold remarks have the same effect as winter
chill on Rex King. Terry encourages Mantaro to continue the
remarks until Rex King is about half frozen. Sunshine then
tosses Rex a couple of ear plugs which Rex puts in and begins to
thaw out. Mantaro stops his slanders since Rex can't hear them
anymore. Terry and Rex duke it out some more, but Rex gets the
upper hand and bites Terry directly in the midsection and holds
him high in the air. While in the air, Terry the Kid has a
vision of his father riding home on horseback, and as he
approaches the ranch gates, his horse is startled by a snake.
But instead of being bucked off the horse, Terry Man balances on
the back of the horse. He then dismounts and explains some more
about the famous Terry Gene of incredibleness. Fade back to the
match, Rex King chomps some more on Terry the Kid and tosses him
far into the air. Expecting to rip him to shreds with the T-Rex
head, he is surprised when Terry lands on the skull and does the
balancing act similar to his dad on the horse. Not to be
bothered with this, Rex hurtles Terry all the way to the top of
the dome, but instead of falling down, he grasps a nearby ledge
and hangs while he figures out a plan. He then sees the air
conditioning vents high above and works out a scenario. As he
release his grip on the ledge and falls to the ring below, he
begins a spinning propeller type motion with his body. This
causes him not only to hover all the way to the top of the dome,
but to cause a funnel of cold air to reach the ring below, thus
freezing Rex King into a solid ice statue. Terry falls to the
earth below and lands on the T-Rex head, shattering it into
pieces! Terry the Kid has won. As the Hercules Factory
celebrates and Sunshine pouts, the other Nightmare member comes
to the side of Sunshine and insists that they should destroy
Mantaro now. Sunshine then morphs into sand and joins with the
cloaked figures to reveal a large Sunshine with the other
persona morphed into him. He calls out Mantaro and the episode
ends. |
| Episode 13 |
10/26/02 |
The episode opens as
Sunshine's combination with the Nightmare member gives birth to
Checkmate, who bursts from Sunshine's midsection. Mantaro
wonders what "checkmate" means, and Nanako-san gives a quick
description of how chess is played. Gazelleman wonders if this
is the same checkmate who beat Gorgeous man in a fair fight.
Checkmate explains that he is one and the same. Gazelleman
extends his hand to Checkmate for a handshake, who is reluctant
at first, grabs it and subsequently begins to twist and crush
it, until Gazelleman is on his knees. Before Checkmate can cause
any permanent injury though, Terry does a whirlwind kick (Chun
Li anyone?) to Checkmate's chest and knocks him back. Checkmate
then morphs into his knight form (horse) and pounds terry with a
flurry of hoof kicks and finally lands a powerful one in the
head and knocks Terry into the cage.
Checkmate calls out Mantaro next. Mantaro is so scared that he
pisses himself and runs out of the arena. Sunshine says that it
is no worry, because Mantaro's vanity will draw him to fight.
Mantaro is seen in a crowded place and becomes interested in a
wrestler popularity contest on TV where fans vote for their
favorite. The results are shown as follow:
1. Terry the Kid
2. Kevin Mask
3. Gazelleman (Dik Dik Van Dik)
4. Max Man (Pumpinator)
5. Sunshine
6. Rex King (Tyrannoclaw)
7. Sieuchin (Wally Tusket)
8. Tel Tel Boy (Dialbolic)
A last minute entry gives Mantaro 1 vote. Mantaro is still
stewing over this, when all of the sudden, Checkmates moves to
first place on the board! Mantaro is jealous and asks a few
girls their opinion on Checkmate. He asks what would happen if
someone beats him, and they swoon over the idea and pledge
devotion to the victor, which gives Mantaro inspiration (though
misguided) to battle Checkmate.
At the memorabilia stands in the arena corridors, Checkmate's
stuff is selling like crazy, while Gazelleman and Sieuchin sit
at a deserted Mantaro memorabilia table. The popularity of
Checkmate and Mantaro are higly contrasted.
They enter the arena to find that Mantaro is going to fight
Checkmate. Inside the ring is Checkmate, awaiting Mantaro. The
floor of the ring is simlar to the checkerboard on a chess
board. Checkmate tosses out a crown to a female fan and gets a
huge applause. Mantaro enters in a checkmate mock up costume,
tosses a charm to a female in the audience, but unwittingly
knocks her out. The crowd is very upset, and Mantaro gets mobbed
and beat down by angry fans.
In the ring, Mantaro starts his barrage with a backflip kick and
then puts check into a backbreaker submission move. The crowd is
in awe. Meat is in awe also, and wonders where the extra
gumption is coming from. He doesn't realize that it's Mantaro's
vanity that is giving him the courage.
He keeps the submission hold for over 20 minutes, which bumps
him into 5th place in the popularity contest. Meat then realizes
Mantaro's reasons for courage. Checkmate dislocates his knee
joints to get free and double knees Mantaro in the face. It is
explained that Checkmate doesn't know pain or feel it. Mantaro
and the crew assume that if he doesn't acknowledge pain, he cant
lose.
|
| Episode 14 |
10/26/02 |
Checkmate puts Mantaro
into submission hold, but Mantaro quickly reverses it and farts
in Checkmate's face. Mantaro is stunned that this has no effect
on him. Sunshine gives a brief history on Checkmate, and why he
feels no pain at all. Checkmate tosses Mantaro to the floor with
ease.
Popularity update: Checkmate is still in 1st, but Mantaro is
losing votes fast.
Encouraged by his need to be popular, Mantaro sends a flurry of
fists to Checkmate's abs but Checkmate turns into the rook
(castle). Mantaro goes for another flurry but this time hits
rock hard abs (literally) and hurts his fist. Mantaro reverse
kicks at Checkmate's abs, but Checkmate separates at the waist
and comes back down crushing Mantaro's leg. Checkmate then hurls
Mantaro into the air and morphs to the knight. He pile drives
him (stallion style) into the canvas, al 2000 plus pounds. Any
other wrestler would be finished, but Mantaro is saved by his
thick neck.
Popularity update: Mantaro is sinking fast.
Again, encouraged by his vanity, Mantaro gets up and announces
he knows a secret way to stop Checkmate from morphing. His
popularity is o the rise again! He locks Checkmate (knight mode)
into a four leg submission hold. He then grabs the chess piece
from Checkmate's back, and puts it on his own shoulder. Mantaro
then morphs to a pawn (armored suit with Mantaro's head on his
shoulder, but no legs). He attempts to drop kick Checkmate
twice, but each time only moves one space on the chess board.
Terry explains that pawns can only move one space at a time.
Checkmate then insults Mantaro's mom. Mantaro un-morphs from
pawn mode, and Checkmate and Mantaro get into a "your mama"
insult match. He then tosses the chess piece back at Checkmate.
Checkmate morphs back to his regular form and Mantaro goes
double knee to the face. Checkmate blocks it easily and uses the
momentum to drive Mantaro into the corner post. Mantaro puts a
from behind squeeze on Checkmate's midsection. Checkmate then
morphs to the rook and falls back on Mantaro. As they fall back,
Checkmate separates into three pieces, with the middle piece
falling on top of Mantaro to pin him to the canvas. Checkmate
then launches hi other two pieces into the air and comes
crashing down with his lower section crushing Mantaro's thighs
and his upper section landing a nasty elbow to Mantaro's face.
Mantaro is laid out.
Sunshine begins another rant, while on the big screen, the
big two DMP leaders (green dragon guy and blue Satan Cross
looking guy) give him congratulations. Sunshine berates them. He
notes how the DMP was supposed to be three separate but equal
entities, but how they screwed him over. Sunshine notes that he
made the best with nothing at al, and mentions that when
Checkmate beats Mantaro, he will be supreme leader of the DMP.
Checkmate moves in to finish Mantaro off. And the episode ends
with Sunshine laughing maniacally.

| Episode 15 |
11/02/02 |
This episode opens with
Checkmate approaching Mantaro. Sunshine glories in the fact that
once Mantaro is finished, the original DMP will be avenged, and
Checkmate will have done what no other DMP member has ever been
able to accomplish. The defeat of the Justice Chojins (Hercules
Factory). Checkmate begins to wonder if this is what all his
years of training was for. Meanwhile Meat has a scheme to put
some gumption back into Mantaro's trampled frame. He sees some
cuties in the audience and begins to imitate them, saying things
like "Oh no, Mantaro is out, he won't get the special Beef
Guidon I made him", and the such like. Mantaro jumps up,
encouraged and sings his cow song. He then looks around and
realizes it was Meat. Checkmate then makes fun of Mantaro and
his cow song. This ticks off Mantaro and he charges Checkmate,
who counters with a painful arm lock. Sunshine again praises
Checkmate, who again wonders if all his training was for this
challenger, and if so, why Mantaro doesn't present more of a
challenge. He changes to a Rook and launches Mantaro into the
air. He then separates in to two halves, upper and lower. The
upper half, headfirst, drives Mantaro down onto his back into
the post. The lower half then comes down to ad insult to injury.
Mantaro again lays crumpled on the mat.
Sunshine rants some more about being so close to being head
honcho at the DMP, which again makes Checkmate question if this
is the pinnacle of his career, why is it so easy? He comes to
the conclusion that Kinniku Suguru must have been as weak as
Mantaro and that Sunshine's old DMP were a bunch of weakling
losers. He slanders Sunshine and says he is a weak crybaby, just
like Mantaro. Sunshine says that Checkmate is mistaken and that
Suguru was the most powerful wrestler, and likens hi t a
volcano, with all it's explosive power. Checkmate then kicks
Sunshine in the chest, causing him to get tied up in the ropes.
Sunshine begins to explain how he gave the best years of his
life to train and develop Checkmate's skills and powers.
Checkmate claims that Sunshine is a hypocrite who doesn't
practice what he preaches, and that is why he is so soft. He
then rips Sunshine's valued old DMP group photo in two.
Sunshine, tangled in the ropes, begins to cry again.
While Sunshine continues to cry, Checkmate taunts and berates
him some more, until Mantaro shouts for Checkmate to stop
taunting Sunshine. Checkmate is astonished that Mantaro would
stick up for Sunshine, and begins to stomp Mantaro, but Sunshine
explains that though the DMP and the Justice Chojin were hated
rivals, they always shared a mutual respect. Sunshine is helped
out of the ring. Check mate continues to kick at Mantaro, while
Meat and the gang urge Mantaro to defend his family honor
against Checkmate's numerous insults. Encouraged some, Mantaro
grabs the next stomp, and put Checkmate into a vicious leg lock.
Checkmate reminds Mantaro that he feels no pain, and Mantaro
grips tighter. Sunshine tells Checkmate to escape the hold and
retreat, because this stalemate could last for a long time.
Mantaro agrees that this is a good idea because he is hungry,
but Checkmate says that only cowards retreat, and lifts Mantaro
into the air and launches him out of the ring. Mantaro comes
crashing down on the announcers table (WCW style!). Checkmate
jumps into the air and lands with a tremendous belly flop onto
Mantaro, causing the announcer's table to shatter.
He says that he will drop a vicious elbow to finish Mantaro, and
a little kid from the crowd rushes in to help Mantaro. He starts
to pound on Checkmate's back, (obviously doing no harm, as he is
about 6 or so) but Checkmate hits him and sends him flying.
Sunshine catches the kid and is immediately disgusted at the
senseless act. The crowd become furious and begins to throw
anything within reach at Checkmate, including the Checkmate
action figure, sodas, pop corn, etc. Checkmate calls for them to
stop and threatens that the next one to throw something will be
decimated. He then begins his ascent for the elbow drop, but
Sunshine catches him mid air with a powerful drop kick that
sends him reeling. Astonished at the hit, Checkmate slams
Sunshine to the concrete with a nasty clothesline. He begins to
pummel Sunshine with kicks, until Mantaro sends a massive knee
into the chest of Checkmate, sending him crashing to the ground.
Sunshine asks why Mantaro helped him and Mantaro explains that
it is mutual respect, and that he appreciated him sticking up
for Suguru. Checkmate is utterly bewildered at Mantaro's act of
kindness, and Mantaro explains that he will stay confused until
he swaps on of his chess pieces for a heart. |
| Episode 16 |
11/02/02 |
Mantaro is pounding
away at Checkmate's abs with renewed fervor when Checkmate sends
a nasty kick to his chin. Prepping for another assault,
Checkmate's knee starts to knot up. He winces, showing the first
signs of pain. Nanako San explains that Mantaro's holds did have
an effect on Checkmate and that it appears that his knee cap is
shattered. Checkmate steps forward and his knee gives out. It is
broken. Checkmate is in denial and claims he is invincible.
Sunshine explains that because of the training, his mind
believes him to be unhurt, but that his body has taken the toll
of the punishment that Mantaro has dished out. Checkmate still
refutes this. He throws a chess piece at Sunshine and begins to
berate him. Mantaro again comes to the aid of Sunshine and
charges Checkmate. The two are locked in a test of strength,
when Checkmate flips Mantaro over his head to the ropes. Mantaro
uses the leverage to launch into the air for a flying attack.
While Mantaro is airborne, Checkmate morphs into a never before
seen shape. He is the Knight (horse), but his body is made of
the Rook (castle - stone) and the head is half horse, half
Checkmate (with a stone crown). He calls this the Grand Slam. He rears forward and
bucks Mantaro with his rear legs as he comes down. He then locks
Mantaro's arms and legs in the stone of his body, and slams him
face first into the mat. Mantaro is out of it again. He picks up
Mantaro and launches up for a pile drive Stallion Style. This
time though he breaks through the ceiling and sets him up to
come crashing down with all 50 tons of stone horse on Mantaro's
neck. It looks like Mantaro is going to be finished, but
Sunshine begins to cheer for Mantaro, getting the crowd going.
Soon the whole arena is immersed in chants of "Mantaro, Mantaro"
(the US version is "Kid Muscle, Kid Muscle"). Mantaro and
Checkmate make their re-entry into the arena via the hole in the
ceiling.
Mantaro awakens to the chants of the crowd, powers to Ultimate
Muscle and head butts the bad knee of Checkmate. He sets him up
for the Kinniku-driver and lands it with a bang in the center of
the mat. Check falls lifeless to the floor. Mantaro is exhausted
as usual. It appears Mantaro has won, when Checkmate gets up and
attempts to assault Mantaro, but mid punch, he shatters, feeling
all the pain of the match at once. He morph to his normal mode
and falls again to the mat in serious pain. He is finished. Two
workers come in to help Checkmate out of the ring, but Sunshine
shoos them away, saying that he has always cared for Checkmate's
well being and will continue to do so. Checkmate and Sunshine
make some heartfelt amends, and Sunshine begins to help him up.
He says that while he has al the physical abilities to be
champion, he lacks the heart of a champion. Sunshine vows to
instill that in him. Suddenly something hurtles through the hole
in the dome and a fist with a harpoon on it drives through the
midsection of Sunshine.
The two DMP leaders appear on screen and say that Sunshine has
failed. They explain that because of his failure he will be
banished and the Nightmares will be disbanded. Sunshine laughs
at this. When questioned by the baddies why he is laughing,
Sunshine produces a trigger switch and nukes them into oblivion.
The hand in the side of the mountain is obliterated. Everyone
celebrates, but when Mantaro turns to see Sunshine, he notices
him and Checkmate gone. Sunshine is shown carrying Checkmate's
limp form out of the corridors and onto a balcony, where they
leave for another planet to recuperate. |
| Episode 17 |
11/09/02 |
We begin with Meat
nursing Mantaro's wounds from the Checkmate match. Mantaro fakes
being sick while Meat goes to prepare him some special soup.
While Meat is preoccupied, Mantaro sneaks out. Apparently he has
a prearranged hang out with the guys, Terry, Gazelleman and
Sieuchin at the mall. Switch to the Hercules Factory's earth
headquarters where The Addams, Apollo and Gorgeous Man are
training. Harabote Muscle (Vance McMadd) is griping about the absence
of the four at the mall. He berates the guys training and tells
them to go find the Mantaro and the other three. Back at the
mall, it appears that everyone but Mantaro has a HUGE fan base
of excited girls. Mantaro is depressed and takes a walk, where
he stumbles upon a young girl about to be mugged by two creeps
in an alleyway. He decides not to get involved and walk away a
little, until he notices Rinko and her two companions. Rinko
notices the mugging and threatens the two hoods. They recognize
her and flee in fear. Apparently Rinko has a reputation for
being one tough cookie! Mantaro starts to chase after he but
gets trampled by a horse. Rinko then separates from the two
other girls, on her way home, and Mantaro pursues. Running up
behind Rinko, he catches up to her and starts to tell her he
loves her, but by reflex, she turns and belts him. Mantaro is
out cold and Rinko, realizing what she just did, is remorseful.
As Mantaro is laid out, Rinko pokes at his face with a twig,
trying to awaken him. When he awakens, he comes on strong and
tells her how much he is infatuated with her. She explains that
she too WAS infatuated, but when she saw him ignore the mugging,
she lost all respect for him. He pleads with her and is
interrupted by Meat. Shortly thereafter, Mantaro sees a rice
bowl and sings his song. He then takes off after the food, but
in the process slips on a banana peel and lands face first into
a cactus. Rinko explains that they can go to her house to pick
out the needles. They arrive at her house, to discover that she
lives at an orphanage. Meat is amazed and explains that he spent
some of his best days there. Rinko's mom (Marie) is a worker at
the orphanage, and is excited to see Meat after all these years.
While they eat inside, Marie reminisces about her past
friendship with Suguru and Meat, and it is made clear that she
had the hots for Suguru. Mantaro and Rinko decide to go for a
walk, and after they leave, Meat confesses to Marie that he
always had an inkling for her. She remembers how she was in love
with Suguru, but that her best friend Bibinba stole him away.
Meanwhile, outside, Mantaro and Rinko are having a similar
conversation. Mantaro explains that since Marie had the hots for
Suguru, that Rinko cannot resist himself, because of the
genetics. Rinko explains to him that she was found by Marie in a
basket by the gate and raised as her own, but is not blood
related to her. Mid conversation, Mantaro is confronted by DMP
member, The Rigani (Cranky Doodle Craw Daddy), who
grabs Rinko and leaps into the air. He then grabs a small leg
from his armor and tosses it to the ground, where it transforms
into a ring. He takes another leg and tosses it and Rinko down.
The other leg becomes a shell like straight jacket and fastens
Rinko to one of the ring posts. Mantaro and The Rigani rush each other
and The Rigani slaps Mantaro a few times with his tail, and then does a
suplex that ends with Mantaro getting whacked again by the tail,
instead of crashing into the mat. Mantaro falls limp to the
canvas, as Rinko urges him to get up.
To help encourage Mantaro, Rinko offers him a date if he wins
this bout, and suddenly Mantaro jumps to his feet, energized!
The Rigani and Mantaro grasp hands in a test of strength, while amongst
the crown outside the ring, Meat and Marie arrive. The Rigani does
another tail suplex, but this time Mantaro catches the tail
before it hits him upside his head. He does a reverse slam on
The Rigani, but then The Rigani releases his body armor, which grabs a hold of
Mantaro like a straight jacket. The Rigani then uses his antenna as
tentacles and binds Mantaro. He uses his claw to grab a hold of
Mantaro's neck and then his mid section in a pinch attack.
Seeing Mantaro in trouble, Rinko goads him on and encourages
him. The Rigani slams Mantaro against the shell holding Rinko, causing
Rinko to pass out. This pisses Mantaro off majorly, and he busts
free and grabs hold of The Rigani. He then launches into a Kinniku
Buster and demolishes The Rigani. Match over. Back at the Hercules
Factory's earth HQ, Harabote complains some more that Mantaro
and the crew are absent on training day, and tells Gorgeous man
and the others that they have four new replacement guys for them.
Cut to the Hercules Factory to see a glimpse of four tough guys
who all look similar to Jade (Jaeger). |
| Episode 18 |
11/09/02 |
At the Hercules
Factory's main location, Ramen Man and Robin Mask are amazed at
how fast the new recruits make mince meat of Rikishiman, Jesse
Maybia, Buffalo Man and Geronimo. As they are
graduating, Robin Mask explains that they will be reserve
fighters, but Harabote interrupts and says he want them on Earth
NOW, to take the place of his four lazy champions, Mantaro,
Gazelleman, Terry and Sieuchin. Back on Earth, Mantaro skips out
again on Meat as he prepares to start a day of training. He's
off to go clubbing. As he attempts to hook up with a VERY
hesitant female, Jade confronts him. He then attacks Mantaro,
who grabs his legs and tosses Jade over a wall. Leaping over the
wall to finish the confrontation, Jade grabs Mantaro and
suplexes (Beefcake Hammer) him into the pavement. Meat shows up
and Jade runs off.
Back at their house, Meat tends to Mantaro's injured leg, while
Gazelleman, Terry and Sieuchin hang out. Then Rinko shows up.
The focus then goes tot he TV where there is an important
Hercules Factory press conference taking place. It shows the
four new Hercules Factory recruits, and Harabote explains that
there will be a tournament to decide if the four recruits will
replace the four laziest current heroes. Mantaro and the guys
wonder which four it will be, and Mantaro explains that it
couldn't be him, as he defeated Tel Tel Boy (Dialbolic), Max
Man (Pumpinator) and Checkmate already. Terry says he is in the
clear too, as he was victorious over Rex King (Tyrranoclaw).
Sieuchin says that if he hadn't fought Max Man first, Mantaro
couldn't have beaten him, so he think he is in the clear also.
This leaves Gazelleman without hope. Rinko reiterates that
Harabote said the LAZIEST four. Harabote confirms this and says
they four were chosen because of their lack of discipline and
refusals to train.
The guys are in the process of training when they get in to a
argument and begin throwing blows. Meat scolds them for being
lax and undisciplined and they apologize and return to training.
They get sidetracked again, and Meat chases them around and
beats then down with a broom. That night, the guys are huddled
in Mantaro's house, and Meat puts in the recording of the four
recruits exploits against the trainers at the Hercules Factory.
They are in awe at how easily they dispatched of the Hercules
Factory trainers, especially Buffaloman. Kid tries to sneak out
again, but Meat catches him and drags him back in. The next day,
at the arena, Harabote introduces the four new recruits. They
are Jade (Jaeger), Crione Man (Hydrozoa), Dead Signal (Road
Rage) and Scar Face (Eskara).
Harabote allows the new recruits to select their opponents by
pushing a colored button which will raise one of the four heroes
from the floor. Jade chooses the yellow button and gets
Gazelleman holding a lemon. Crione Man picks purple and get
Sieuchin and some grapes. Scar Face picks red and gets Terry
munching on an apple. Lastly, Dead Signal chooses green and gets
Mantaro holding a watermelon. Mantaro looks majestic, until he
is raised halfway and everyone notices that he is pissing
himself (as usual). Dead Signal confronts Mantaro and Mantaro
accidentally drops the watermelon on Dead Signal's head, making
a mess. Harabote explains the tournament ladder. He explains
that the final winner will get to stay on Earth with his three
team mates while the other group will return to the Hercules
Factory to prepare for their next assignment. The guys are
worried, but the new recruits are confident. They boast that
they will be the victors! |

11/16/02 |
As the episode begins,
we are treated to an aerial view of a large football stadium. In
the middle of the playing field sits the "Hand of Hercules", the
same hand that Terry fought Buffaloman and Mantaro defeated
Suguru. As the sold out crowd continues to buzz, Rinko calls her
friend. It seems they both got tickets to this event, but it is
held at two different venues. The sold out Gazelleman vs. Jade
(Jaeger) match is being held on Hercules Hand at the Stadium,
while the less than popular Sieuchin vs. Crione Man (Hydrozoa)
is set up on a stone foot (Achilles' Heel) in the middle of a
River. The bell is rung and Sieuchin and Crione Man are the
first to start!
As Sieuchin and his opponent start with a test of strength,
Mantaro cheers him on with a silly song. After Mantaro makes a
fool of himself, Harabote (Vance McMadd) mentions to Meat that
he should manage Dead Signal (Road Rage) instead, since Mantaro
clearly is going to lose. Mantaro protests, much to the joy of
Meat, until he realizes that Mantaro and Harabote are discussing
his custody as if he were a child. As they bicker about who will
get him on weekends, Sieuchin begins to overpower Crione Man,
but Crione Man reverses the momentum and sends Sieuchin flying
across the ring into the turnbuckle. He then charges, doing a
series of quick flips, and lands the back of his heels against
Sieuchin's skull. Flipping away, he charges in again.
AS Crione charges in, Sieuchin dodges, grabs him and slams him
in a reverse pile driver. The bell rings again, as the
Gazelleman vs. Jade match begins. As they are about to begin, we
see a mysterious spectator appear in the stands, it is Brocken
Jr. Jade charges Gazelleman, but Gazelleman blocks him, grapples
him, and puts him into a locking hold. After some minor banter,
Gazelleman begins to repeatedly knee Jade in the gut! He then
kicks him, sending him sprawling across the ring. Back in the
stands, Brocken silently urges him on. Terry the Kid shouts
encouragements and cheers to Gazelleman, but it seems that
Gazelleman is exhausted, even though he was the one dishing out
the pain.
Gazelleman is puzzled why he is so beat, but Jade taunts him
saying that he is out of shape. He insults him further and
Gazelleman charges, only to be slammed with the Beefcake Hammer.
Gazelleman escapes the hold, but Jade just stands there puzzled.
He has lost the skull broche that Brocken had given him. Lying
on the mat, Gazelleman spots it and taunts Jade with it. Jade
says that it is important to him, because it was given him by
the great Brocken Jr. Gazelleman laughs and tosses it at Jade,
who loses all composure. Back in the stands, Brocken urges Jade
not to reveal his finishing move yet. Jade powers up and charges
Gazelleman, unleashing the "Red Rain of Baron" on him (a glowing
super powerful karate chop across the chest). Gazelleman drops
to the mat, helpless. Brocken is concerned that they have been
revealed now. Mantaro yells for Gazelleman to get up, but Meat
tells him it is useless, he recognizes that move, and Gazelleman
is not going anywhere. |

Brocken Jr. makes his
way to the bottom of the tunnel, where it opens to the field,
and Jade sees him, immediately bring on the shame of knowing
that he broke his promise to only use the Red Rain of Baron when
absolutely necessary. He stands dejected. Brocken is mobbed in
the tunnel by reporters who recognize him, and he quickly turns
to escape. Meat wonders what connection Brocken and Jade have.
Meanwhile, back to the remaining match at hand, we see Sieuchin
pounding furiously on Crione Man. He puts him into a twist hold,
but Crione morphs out and puts Sieuchin into a hold of his own,
which Nakano San relates to being wound up in saltwater taffy.
Sieuchin quickly breaks free, but Crione Man hovers above the
mat. Sieuchin jumps at him with a kick, but is deflected by
Crione, as he morphs his arm into an ice shield. He kicks again,
only to have the sole of his foot sliced by Crione Man's arm,
which has been transformed into a saber. Sieuchin falls to the
mat, and Crione Man belly flops him, engulfing him inside
himself. Sieuchin is trapped inside of Crione Man's body, as if
in a giant water balloon.
Sieuchin can't get out, no matter how many blows he throws.
Crione on the other hand, begins to viciously pummel Sieuchin
inside of him. Sieuchin's mother, who has been sitting in the
audience with his sister, gets upset and tosses a large fish at
Crione. It lands like an arrow, stuck in his chest.
Mantaro urges Sieuchin to wake up and escape from the hole that
has been created by the seafood projectile. Sieuchin awakens,
sees the fish and pushes out. Crione lands in pain on the
canvas, with a gaping hole in his chest. As Sieuchin eats the
fish for energy, Crione charges him from behind, but again,
Sieuchin sends him into the canvas with a nasty pile driver.
Crione Man again hovers in the air, but this time turns himself
into a giant magnifying glass. He taunts Sieuchin about being
lax and says he will roast him. Hearing this, Sieuchin's mother
becomes irate with Sieuchin for his behavior and tells Crione to
punish him. Crione focuses the sun's rays and shoots a glowing
orb of what looks like static electricity (it's not, it's
sunlight) at Sieuchin.
Sieuchin dodges the bolt, which hits the post and causes it to
erupt in flames. His mother yells out to take his punishment
like a good boy, but back on the riverbank, a few people begin
to stick up for him. They tell stories of how Sieuchin gave of
himself to help them out. One is a popular Japanese boy band,
who tell how he saved them from some street thugs. The other is
a little old lady, who he helped across a busy intersection.
Sieuchin's mom is again proud of her son. The boy band runs down
closer to the ring to sing a song to encourage Sieuchin, but
Crione decides to launch a burst of sun at them. Sieuchin takes
the brunt of it with his foot and lands sharply on the canvas.
Crione then creates a ring of fire around Sieuchin on the
canvas. As Sieuchin arises, he can see no way out, but Crione
taunts him showing him the one exit, which consequently is right
where Crione is standing. Sieuchin follows and is grasped by
Crione's rib cage and pulled back into his body. This time he is
bound inside and there seems to be no escape. |
