We see a flying fist
spaceship hurtling towards Earth and eventually crash into the
side of Mt. Fuji. The ship holds the DMP, who began their reign
of terror by decimating the first generation fighters, such as
Robinmask, Terry Man, Buffaloman, Curry Cook and Ramen Man.
Back on planet Kinniku (giant Kinniku head) after being badly
beaten, they gripe that if Suguru would have been there to help,
they wouldn't have lost to the DMP. Ramen Man explains to the
'older' generation that there is another who may possess the
power of Suguru, Kinniku Mantaro. There is significant banter
about him because Mantaro is a spoiled coward.
Cut to Mantaro's (Kid Muscle's) room. Mantaro is about to eat and gets
overjoyed because it is his favorite, beef guidon. However, to
the dismay of Mantaro, he won't be allowed to eat until his
studies are complete. Feigning study, he is really looking at a
girlie magazine. While fawning over the beauties, his
Grandfather taps him on the shoulder, but Mantaro is in deep
thought and ignores this. Upset at Mantaro's lack of discipline,
the old man begins to explain to him about his destiny and so
forth. Mantaro, being the irresponsible, spoiled little wretch
that he is, decides to run away from all this. Using his fart
flying technique to outrun his pursuers, he ends up on a
spaceship that autopilots itself to Earth. After crash landing,
Mantaro finds himself in a field next to a peculiar looking shed
(the old house of Suguru and Mitokun/Niku from the early manga).
Inside, Mantaro is curious about a coffin shaped box. He presses
a button and out pops Mitokun (Niku) from his cryogenic
preservation. Niku explains to Mantaro about his destiny, and
again, not wanting the responsibility, Mantaro runs back to his
space pod, to blast off again. Much to his chagrin, he
encounters Blood Killer (Adversarious) of the DMP, who has come to destroy him.
After running for his life from the DMP bully, Mantaro takes a
break to eat a bowl of Beef Guidon. Again he is denied his
favorite meal, as Blood Killer (Adversarious) crushes the bowl. That does
it for
Mantaro, and after an emotional outburst, he beats the living
hell out of Blood Killer, ending it with the Kinniku-buster.
Blood Killer retreats to fight another day, and the episode
ends.

In the midst of a
conversation, directly after beating the baddie from the
previous episode, a huge spaceship appears looming overhead.
Niku coerces Kinniku Mantaro to enter, and aboard you see a few
of the faces from the Hercules Factory. Sieuchin, Gazelleman,
Apollo, Special Man Jr., Samuu, Canadian Boy and The Adams all
introduce themselves, awed by the presence of the son of Suguru,
while Mantaro, overjoyed by the welcome, enters in to an endless
stream of mindless banter. Niku recalls how the fathers of the
new generation were all great fighters, and how they were just
like them. Mantaro then notices a man sitting in a corner,
covered in a blanket and a 10 gallon hat, and approaches him to
converse. The "stranger" is revealed to be Terry the Kid, son of
the famous Terry Man. Because of Terry the Kid's attitude, Niku
states that he is nothing like his dad, save for the physical
resemblance. Terry the Kid then begins to rant about how he will
be the best, and that his father was a chump, because he did all
the work, but let Suguru take all the glory. And how he truly
isn't like his dad, because he won't let it happen to him that
way. The next scene cuts away to the heroes approaching and
entering the Hercules Factory Training Facility, where
Buffaloman, Robinmask and Rikishiman are there to greet them.
Thus they begin their training. One phase of training has the
fighters bending backwards over a curved spiky thing, similar
to half a donut, embedded with long spikes. They must suplex
their dummies over the spike without getting pricked. Terry the
Kid does so flawlessly. Samuu does so, but touches the spikes,
and thus passes, but barely. It is now Mantaro's turn. The
coward that he is, he hesitates, until Robin Mask threatens to
push him over it. Mantaro begins his move, but Terry the Kid,
who is munching on a bag of nuts, spits one with so much force,
that it embeds itself in Mantaro's arm. Mantaro, being stung by
the projectile, loses his balance and falls to the side,
gashing his shoulder on one of the spikes. When Niku begins to
berate him for screwing up, Mantaro complains about the nut, and
it is revealed that Terry the Kid interfered. Niku and Robinmask
began to chastise Terry the Kid about interfering, and Terry
again starts off on his tirade about his dad losing all the
glory to Suguru, and so forth. He explains that if Mantaro were
drowning in the ocean that he would swim the opposite way, and
would never help him out. At the end of the rant, Mantaro and
SpecialMan Jr. take off in the wrong direction, away from the
rest of the group and they are told to come back, that they are
going towards the sparring ring. Specialman Jr. then begins to
crack and out comes Boaconda (English name). Boaconda tosses
Mantaro into the ring and activates the cage feature, which
locks the two of them in until one wins. They are now trapped in
a huge steel cage match, in which Mantaro gets the crap kicked
out of him. Not to be outdone, Terry the Kid jumps onto the side
of the cage and taunts Boaconda, complaining that Mantaro is
taking the spotlight, as Suguru did to Terry Man. Boaconda,
annoyed, lashes his spiked tail at the side of the cage and
succeeds in knocking Terry the Kid flat on his back, far away
from the cage setup. Still reeling from the hit, and suffering
from a gash on his thigh, Terry the Kid is approached by a
cloaked stranger. The stranger helps Terry to sit up, and
removes a patterned handkerchief from his cloak. When he removes
the cloth, a picture of Suguru and Terry Man, holding the HUGE
trophy they won as the Machine Guns tag team. As he begins tying
the bandana around the gash on Terry the Kid's injured thigh,
Terry recognizes it as belonging to his father. The cloaked
figure reveals that it is the handkerchief that Terry Man gave
to Suguru as a token of their friendship, and that Suguru wore
it into battle always, because it made him feel as if Terry Man
was right there fighting along side him. Terry the Kid mentioned
that he never saw his dad bring home a trophy as big as in the
Machine Guns picture, and it was explained that Terry Man
refused to accept them for himself, as his greatest reward was
helping his friends. Finally the cloaked figure states that
Suguru held Terry Man up as his inspiration and role model.
Hearing all this, Terry the Kid decides to help out Mantaro
somehow. But, the cloaked figure taunts Terry the Kid, reminding
him of his vow never to help Mantaro. Terry the Kid recants and
vows to try to be a man as good as his father. Terry the kid
runs off to help Mantaro, and you see a shadowed face of the
cloaked stranger. It is Suguru. Leaping again to
the side of the cage, Terry the Kid distracts Boaconda from his
attempt to pop Mantaro's head off his body, and when Boaconda
releases Mantaro to give Terry the Kid another whack with his
tail, Terry loads up some nuts in his mouth and fires away at
Boaconda, putting large indentations/holes in his armor. Urged
on by Terry the Kid, Mantaro then grapples Boaconda into the
Kinniku-buster move (butt-buster) and decimates the robot into
torn shreds. The aftermath shows Mantaro and Terry the Kid
giving each other the thumbs up sign. |

This episode begins
with Robinmask, Geronimo and Rikishiman preparing to introduce
the final graduates of the Hercules Factory, who will then
travel on to face the DMP on Earth. The guests of honor for the
ceremonies, seated on an elevated platform, include Mayumi (Mantaro's
Grandfather) and Bibinba (Mantaro's mother). Amidst the pomp and
pizzazz of the ceremony, Robinmask opens the Gates of the
Hercules Factory to reveal the finalists. Mayumi and Bibinba
lament that Mantaro is nowhere to be found among them. This
continues until a masked rider gallops in on a horse. It is
noticeably Mantaro, except for a different face mask, and Terry
the Kid and the others speculate that is must be an evil
combatant. Mantaro replies that it is just him, trying to make a
surprise entrance, and that he is only wearing a silly mask, but
the other are unconvinced. So Mantaro removes the mask to reveal
another. The finalists agree that it is not Mantaro but and evil
opponent and proceed to mob him. Mantaro tries unsuccessfully to
remove his masks fast enough (he has numerous mask on over each
other) to reveal his face to the crowd before they reach him.
After being beat to a pulp, the final mask is removed and it is
revealed to be Mantaro. After seeing this, the crowd is overcome
with remorse for pounding on a friend like that, and Sieuchin
makes the remark that Mantaro should have told them it was him
in the first place and that he was going to make a surprise
entrance. Mantaro says that it wouldn't have been a surprise
them. All set to be given their rights of passage, Robin Mask
explains that they have one more final task before them. They
have one more opponent to face before their will be complete,
and that this opponent will be their toughest yet! Murmurs arise
from the crowd, who question why they have ANOTHER trial to
pass. Robin Man presses a button on a wheeled box (similar to a
car battery charger) and suddenly the ground begins to shake and
crevices begin to form as if there were a large scale
earthquake. And from the midst of the ground arises a gigantic
hand, palm outstretched upward, to reveal a ring on each finger
tip. Robinmask explains that once they are in the ring, their
opponent will appear. Mantaro makes a lame excuse as to why he
won't go first, and Terry the Kid and Samuu volunteer to be the
first 2. Upon entering their respective rings, Terry on the
thumb and Samuu on the index, Robinmask presses another 2
buttons on the box, and their opponents appear. For Terry the
Kid, it is none other then Buffaloman. And for Samuu it is the
great Ramen Man! All hope seems drained from the finalists as
they see that they will have to defeat the former champions. It
is impossible, they surmise, and begin to give up one by one,
until Robin Mask explains that in order to defeat the DMP, they
will have to beat the former champions, who were
demolished by the DMP. The reasoning being that if they couldn't
beat the old timers than they wouldn't stand a chance against
the DMP! The finalist see the logic behind this reasoning and
agree to fight. Buffaloman and Terry the Kid begin their
match. Buffaloman feigns a handshake to start, but when Terry
the Kid grabs his hand, Buffaloman knees him in the chest,
sending Terry reeling. He then pins Terry to the mat and begins
beating the holy terror out of him.
Cut to Samuu. When Ramen Man offers a handshake, Samuu
rejects and immediately begins a barrage of blows to Ramen Mans
face, all of which are easily blocked by the veteran wrestler.
Ramen Man then begins his assault on Samuu, including a myriad
of aerial tactics, and ending in a submission hold to which
Samuu relents and subsequently fails his training.
Back to Buffaloman and Terry the Kid, Buffaloman is still
wailing on Terry's now red and swollen face, but appears to be
tiring. Terry the Kid explains to Buffaloman that he may be a
daunting foe, but he is to old and out of shape to mess with
this youth. Buffaloman, pissed off, hurls Terry the Kid into the
air and does his bull charge (reminiscent of Bald Bull) and rams
Terry with his horns a few times before Terry begins to taunt
him again. This time saying that his horns aren't nearly as
sharp as his spurs and have no chance of hurting him. This being
said, Terry uses Buffaloman's horns as grips, and wrapping his
legs around Buffaloman's neck, digs his spurs into his neck,
bringing him down into several submission holds, until
exhaustedly, Buffaloman gives in. Terry the Kid has passed.
Robinmask explains that Mantaro is next. Mantaro the coward
that he is, begins to back away complaining about stomach
problems, but inadvertently trips over the box that Robinmask
was using and rolls all the way into the next ring, also
accidentally pressing the button release his opponent. As the
episode ends, Mantaro's opponent appears to be none other than
Kinnikuman Suguru! Daunting, rock solid and in as good a shape
as ever!

| Episode 4 |
9/21/2002 |
After it is revealed
that Mantaro's opponent is his father, Mantaro goes berserk. Not
out of fear, but because he thinks that his dad will be a piece
of cake. The old wrestling was fake, he says and his dad was
never a great fighter. It was all staged. This is debated among
those present for a few minutes, and then Mantaro agrees to
begin the match. Still thinking that it is all fun and games,
Mantaro begins to tickle his dad, who in a burst of wild
hysteria loses his shirt and mask. Shocked, the crowd goes
silent. Suguru is revealed to be old and out of shape, with a
beer gut like you wouldn't believe. When asked what happened to
Suguru's muscles, the remark is made that he must have ate them,
judging by the size of his gut. Mantaro and Suguru resume the
match, with Mantaro devising a scheme to get them both out of
this. Mantaro says that the match should end in a tie, so tat he
can be disqualified from the tournament but not be branded a
loser, and so that Suguru will keep his unbeaten record. Suguru
says nothing but appears to be playing along. Until that is, he
places Mantaro into a series of submission hold. The final being
a leg hold in the Ropes. It is mention that no one has ever
escaped from that hold, but Suguru taunts Mantaro to remember
what he taught him. After making a few smart alec remarks,
Mantaro flashes back to a memory in a bathroom of Suguru bent
over, butt in the air, reaching back with his hand and asking
Binbina to pull his finger because his hand is hurting. Suguru
farts right in Bibinba's face and the memory ends. Mantaro uses
this as inspiration and let's one rip in his dad's face, thus
releasing him from the hold. Back in the ring the 2 of them have
a nasty farting contest, which grosses out the crowd. Mantaro
explains that his father just doesn't have it anymore, and
Suguru places him in the Kinniku-buster move, but in mid air,
Mantaro reverts it to a Kinniku Driver and pile drives his dad
into the canvas. Mantaro has won the match. Finally the actual
graduation has come and awards are about to be handed out.
Again, Mantaro is nowhere to be found. Just in time, Mantaro
appears wearing this butt ugly flower print suit. He is
expecting to get "Best Wrestler".
The awards are handed out in this order:
Best Use of Weight: Sieuchin
Best Technique: Terry the Kid
Best Wrestler: Gazelleman
Mantaro is bewildered by not receiving the award because he
DID beat Suguru but Robinmask explains that it is for the best
overall wrestler. Mantaro asks if he has won any award, and
Robinmask gives him the "Best Dressed" award.
Commencing the ceremonies, the new champions are loaded onto
the space ship and hurtled towards Earth.

| Episode 5 |
9/28/02 |
As we begin episode 5
we see the Hercules Factory spaceship towing Mantaro's ship just
over the top of a small Tokyo neighborhood. While Mantaro is
sitting on the toilet, Gazelleman releases the towed spacecraft
and it hurtles to the ground, crashing in the yard of the funny
little house that Mantaro came upon when he first came to Earth.
Upon entering the house, Meat (Niku) is overjoyed because this
is the same house that he and Mantaro first met. (Consequently,
this is the same house that Meat and Suguru first lived in at
the very beginning of generation 1.) All the while Mantaro is
crying about the house not having the amenities of his room on
Planet Kinniku. Meat begins Mantaro's training, but Mantaro,
uninterested doesn't give much effort. Meat puts Mantaro in a
submission hold that he claims has never been broken, and tells
Mantaro to try to get out. Mantaro doesn't even try, until he
spots three young schoolgirls and is quite taken with one of
them. In his smitten state, he decides to get a closer look at
them, and easily wrests free of Meat's hold. While hiding behind
a hedge in front of the girls, he hears them talking about the
latest fads and learns the name of the one he is quite overtaken
with is Rinko (Roxanne). As the girls turn to leave, Mantaro begins to follow. But
before he can get off the property, he is stopped by Gazelleman,
who informs him that he is to train, and not to leave the
property at all, until instructed to do so, by Gazelleman
himself, who has taken charge of the new group. Words are
exchanged, and Gazelleman and Mantaro are about to spar, when
out of nowhere, Kevin Mask steps in the way and asks why to
Hercules Factory graduates would be fighting among each other.
Words are exchanged and Meat recognizes Kevin to be the son of
Robin Mask. Gazelleman and Kevin Mask begin to fight, and Kevin
Mask easily gets the best of Gazelleman. Sparing him any real
harm, he taunts them some more and leaves.
Next scene, it is night and Mantaro and Meat are sleeping in
the funny little house. Outside the window, we see three members
of the DMP ready to pounce on the sleeping pair, but they are
confronted by Gazelleman.
Upon awakening the next morning, Mantaro decides to go into
town for a bite to eat, and notices the same girl from the day
before and follows her all around town. Eventually he follows
Rinko into a building that is hosting an IWF Wrestling Event. As
he enters it pans to the center ring where the current tag team
champs have just successfully defended their titles. Meat is the
next one through the door, finally having found Mantaro after
his chase. Suddenly, three members of the DMP enter the center
ring and make quick work of the tag team champs. Meat thinks
this is the perfect chance for Mantaro to wipe the floor with
some DMP baddies. During the final blow to the tag team champs,
it is revealed that Kevin Mask is one of the DMP. Meat is
appalled! How could the son of one of the Hercules Factory's
greatest champions be affiliated with the DMP? Kevin Mask
begins his dialogue about how, growing up he was deprived of a
normal life, because of his father's push for Kevin to become
every bit the champion he was. He says eventually he got tired
of it, and took his frustrations to the streets, where he took
on all the common street thugs and beat the hell out of them,
and finally was given the opportunity to join the DMP (who he
noted "gave him a sense of family"). Just then, Gazelleman busts
through the door (looking quite demolished) and tells how the
DMP were going to attack Mantaro as he slept last night, but
that he stopped them, and instead got beat down in the process.
Meat urges Mantaro to go on the offense towards them, and
surprisingly he does and enters the ring looking like he's going
to bust open the gates on them. But, staying true to character,
Mantaro goes into a corny tirade about marketing the DMP's
shirts and what not. When it is explained to him that they are
going to stomp him into the ground, Mantaro retreats to the far
doors where he entered. He is about to exit until the spotlight
is shone upon him, and Meat's voice booms over the loud speaker.
Meat introduces Mantaro as the man who will take on the DMP. The
crowd begins to cheer on Mantaro, and he is awed by the concept
of a fan base. He even sees the girl he followed into the arena
cheering for him (it turns out she was only trying to get her
friend's attention, who happened to be standing directly behind
Mantaro). This spurs him on and he enters the ring. When asked
who he will challenge of the three, he picks the shortest, who
turns out to be Tel Tel Boy (Dialbolic). Tel Tel Boy makes a show of himself,
and tells Mantaro that he will be slaughtered when they meet
tomorrow. Meat tells Mantaro not to fear, as he will have 24
hours to prep for the fight.
Back at Mantaro's shack, Meat comes in and is outraged that
Mantaro is making stupid shirts instead of preparing for the
fight the next day.......
|
| Episode 6 |
9/28/02 |
This episode opens with
Tel Tel Boy (Dialbolic) in the ring waiting for Mantaro to show. We see
Gazelleman, The Adams, Terry the Kid and Sieuchin all in the
front row, putting on Mantaro's lame t-shirts to show support.
Mantaro finally enters accompanied by Meat. He is wearing one of
his shirts and both Meat and himself have moose heads adorning
their heads. In the ring, Mantaro begins to make short work of
Tel Tel Boy, by moving to his side and kicking him in the back of
the knee joint, thus causing Tel Tel Boy to collapse to the mat.
This is done with so much ease, that the question arises why
Tel Tel Boy isn't making more of a challenge. The answer is that
Tel Tel Boy has no peripheral vision, because his eye placement
will only let him see what is directly in front of him. And
thus, he is totally blind from the sides and back. Mantaro preps
Tel Tel Boy for a Kinniku buster, and this is where the
competition really begins. Using his skin contact with Mantaro,
Tel Tel Boy is able to download Mantaro's greatest fears, and use
his hypnosis attack to make Mantaro imagine that he is reliving
them. He begins with Ramen Man. By making Mantaro believe that
he is now Ramen Man, Tel Tel Boy easily slaps Mantaro around for a
while, but Mantaro closes his ears out of cowardice and somehow
breaks Tel Tel Boy's hypnosis hold. He then begins to pound
Tel Tel Boy again. Hoisting him upon his shoulders in attempt to
break him apart, Tel Tel Boy again uses the hypnosis attack to
make Mantaro flashback to a time when he was a toddler and was
roughed up by a Doberman. Thinking that Tel Tel Boy is that same
Doberman from the past, Mantaro is frozen with fear. Once again
the momentum changes and Tel Tel Boy hands over more punishment to
Mantaro. Eventually Tel Tel Boy's spell is broken and Mantaro gets
him into the Kinniku driver move. Sensing his own demise,
Tel Tel Boy morphs into Buffaloman (in Mantaro's imagination, that
is) and starts another round of pain for Mantaro. This time it
looks hopeless, but Tel Tel Boy releases Mantaro and tell him that
his worst fear is yet to come. As he dial up the most feared
person in Mantaro's history, there is wild speculation on who it
will be. This airing thus ends, to be resumed in episode 7. My
guess is that Tel Tel Boy is calling up Bibinba, Mantaro's mom.
We'll see next week though.
|
| Episode 7 |
10/05/02 |
Well I was wrong, it
wasn't Bibinba that Tel Tel Boy was calling..... This episodes
starts out with Tel Tel Boy making a call to Nanako-San (announcer
guy) on accident. He quickly hangs up and dials correctly. This
time he reaches Suguru, and begins the transformation into him.
Mantaro seems petrified, but as Meat points out, Tel Tel Boy
called the wrong person if he was trying to frighten Mantaro.
The Hercules group recalls all the reasons that Mantaro isn't
afraid of Suguru, and the other DMP members get upset about it.
Mantaro jumps on Tel Tel Boy's shoulders and goes slap happy on
him, until Max Man (Pumpinator) tells him to cut short the
trauma call. Tel Tel Boy morphs back into himself and thinks he's
going to lay the smack down on Mantaro, but Mantaro commences to
beat the hell out of him. Mantaro pins him on his back,
straddles him and begins laying into his midsection (keypad). As
he does this, he unwittingly makes a call to the lamest weather
update you'll ever hear. It informs him that there will be rain
after 5PM. Realizing that he can make some calls this way, he
dial up the Chinese take out and orders some food, including
beef guidon (cut to his stupid rice bowl dance) and charges the
whole thing to Tel Tel Boy's account. He then dials up the radio
station and wins 2 tickets to the Mantaro/Tel Tel Boy match-up.
Tel Tel Boy, after taking a beating, morphs the red tip of his
antenna into a hand, charged with electricity, and then it is
his turn to go slap happy on Mantaro. Mantaro is backed down
into a corner, arms covering his face against the flailing
antenna slap attack. Meat gives him some advice, and Mantaro
then get Tel Tel Boy's slap timing down and manages to dodge the
remainder of his slaps. Tel Tel Boy then grows electrical
dreadlocks and wails on Mantaro something fierce. After Mantaro
is worn down sufficiently, Tel Tel Boy explains that it's time to
put him out. Hearing this, Mantaro pisses a fountain. All of the
sudden Tel Tel Boy backs off in fear. Mantaro gets an idea. He
mentions that it is after 5PM. He jumps to his feet and flies
toward the roof of the dome. Tel Tel Boy extends his shock locks
up to Mantaro, who dodges them all by twisting around. Mantaro
then whacks his antenna hand up to the dome and breaks through
the roof of the dome, exposing the night sky. Distracted by his
last move, Mantaro is a prime target for the shock locks, which
leave Mantaro hurtling back towards the canvas, and eventually
landing with a crash. Tel Tel Boy can smell victory, as Mantaro
lays beaten upon the canvas. But wait, all of the sudden rain
pours in from the hole in the ceiling that Mantaro made earlier.
The rain short circuits Tel Tel Boy, and Mantaro puts him into the
Kinniku-buster and leaps into the air to finish it. (The
American cartoon renames it the Kinniku-buster, instead of the
Butt buster in this scene). Tel Tel Boy somehow slips free and
they both hurtle towards the earth. Mantaro then uses the power
of Ultimate Muscle and re applies the Kinniku-Buster for a
powerful finish! Tel Tel Boy falls to the matt, battery totally
drained. Mantaro has won!
Max Man and Kevin Mask are surprised to see Mantaro
victorious. Meat rushes into the ring to congratulate Mantaro
and informs him that the take out has arrived. Mantaro begins to
eat, but falls flat on his face in sheer exhaustion. Seeing
Mantaro in a helpless state, Max Man jumps into the ring in
order to finish him off in a weakened state.
|
| Episode 8 |
10/05/02 |
Max Man (Pumpinator) is in the
ring, ready to finish off Mantaro, when Kevin Mask interrupts
and belittle him for being a coward and self centered, and tells
him he will get more respect if he fights Mantaro when he is at
full strength, rather than taking advantage of his weakened
condition. Max Man agrees to a one hour rest for Mantaro.
In the mean time Mantaro is laid out on 3 front row seats
resting under a blanket, next to the beef guidon. Throughout the
episode, Mantaro is seen sneaking the bowls to eat.
Max Man, in his impatience decides to make short work of a
Hercules Factory graduate while he waits for Mantaro to rest. He
will fight number one, which is Gazelleman, but since the DMP
already beat the hell out of him, he will take number two. Terry
the Kid agrees, but Max Man notes that Sieuchin is number
two, and Terry is number three. Sieuchin gets into the ring and
begins to beat the hell out of Max Man. Meat notices that
Max Man looks really familiar. After a few brutal moves,
Sieuchin is about to lay a massive kick on Max Man when he
asks for a break to catch his breath. Sieuchin, the nice guy
that he is, agrees to give him a quick moment, but it turns out
to be a ploy by Max Man, who begins a vicious attack on
Sieuchin. Morphing into the shoe, Max Man demolishes
Sieuchin, and eventually plants a nasty suplex on him, driving
him head first into the canvas. Max Man claims victory, as
Sieuchin is sticking feet up, head buried in the canvas.
Sieuchin recovers and asks him if that was his best. Max Man
then uses his most brutal move on Sieuchin to finish him off. He
launches Sieuchin into the air, and in the shoe form, he drives
Sieuchin into the matt, toe planted firmly in him mid section.
Sieuchin is finished and is removed on a stretcher. As he is
taken out of the arena, Sieuchin asks if Mantaro saw that last
move. Meat and the other say that Mantaro is out cold and
couldn't have seen it, but Sieuchin says that Mantaro has been
awake the whole time, eating the rice bowls. Meat immediately
yanks off the blanket and berates Mantaro for sitting around
while Sieuchin got the crap kicked out of him, and for eating
all the food too. Mantaro goes to Sieuchin's side and finds out
that after the suplex, he was finished, but that he took the
brunt of the most devastating move, so that Mantaro would
realize what he had coming. As Sieuchin is carted off, his
bandana falls to the ground. Mantaro picks this up, encouraged
by Sieuchin's selflessness, he vows revenge. Max Man says he
has thirty minutes left, but Mantaro refuses the extra time and
immediately goes to the back to prepare for the match. The three
girls (including Rinko) sneak into the back and
get a glimpse of Mantaro condition himself. Meat catches the
girls and gives them the boot. He then sees Mantaro and is very proud.
Mantaro emerges from the back and walks down the aisle
gloriously, with Sieuchin's headband on. He enters the ring and
begins to beat the hell out of Max Man. Max Man takes the
last blows with ease and it is explained that he is resistant to
blows, because of his shoe like resilience. Mantaro then applies
some submission holds to him. Meat realizes why Max Man is
familiar, he is the grandson of Snigator. Flashbacks show
Snigator in a couple of his forms, including the hand!
Max Man breaks free and morphs into the Shoe and does some
damage to Mantaro, including a nasty pile driver into the matt.
Mantaro looks down for the count, and the episode ends as we see
the translucent form of Snigator enveloping the ring!

| Episode 9 |
10/12/02 |
As Mantaro sits slumped
in the corner, beaten badly, he asks Meat for some advice, but
Meat is too busy cowering at the thought of Snigator being the
grand father of Max Man (Pumpinator). Max Man throws a blow at Mantaro,
who dodges it and uses the leverage to toss him high in the air.
Max Man pays this no mind, as he inflates his vest for a soft
landing. He then begins to beat the hell out of Mantaro with
some vicious head butts. Mantaro want to give up and go home,
but Max Man refuses him, and the episode begins a flashback
of Suguru defeating Snigator to the angst of his son, who grows
up with a bitter hatred swelling for the Kinniku family. He uses
this hatred to push and refine his son Max Man to be the most
refined member of the Snigator family ever. As Max Man
recalls this, he blames everything on Mantaro and his lineage.
Mantaro, again taking a beating by Max Man's shoe form (more
so than Sieuchin did) huddles in the corner and wants to give
up. He says he will do anything if Max Man will just let him
give in. Max Man agrees if Mantaro will give him a spit
shine. As Mantaro begins to start licking the Max Man shoe
clean, the crown and everyone is disgusted at Mantaro's
cowardice and begins to hurl stuff in the ring at him. Mantaro,
about to lick, decides to find a cleaner spot. Making his way
around the shoe, he stumbles over Sieuchin's headband, which he
dropped after the last time he was toe jammed into the
turnbuckle. He realizes what a coward he has been, and recalls
Sieuchin's selflessness and this drives him into Ultimate Muscle
rage. When Max Man realizes that he isn't going to get his
spit shine, he begins to whine about being dirty, and that he
has a photo shoot with a big shoe magazine later that afternoon.
He then begins to polish himself vigorously and is mobbed by a
bunch of shoe groupies, who he soon repels to continue cleaning
himself. Mantaro realizes that he just found Max Man's
weakness. He's a clean freak. Mantaro feigns fatigue and falls
to the matt. Max Man takes the opportunity to launch himself
into the air and begins the same move that finished off
Sieuchin. Mantaro lays still until the very last minute, and
rolls out of the way, only to reveal that he left a pile of crap
on the matt for Max Man to impale himself in. Max Man is
completely grossed out and frantic about landing in the crap,
and begins running around frantically. Much ado is made of this
scene, that Terry the Kid recalls how, as a young boy, he lost a
new pair of shoes to a misstep in a pile of dung. Mantaro then
slams Max Man head first into the crap, and Max Man gets
more frantic. Finally Mantaro decides to finish him. He launches
into the air with Max Man still in shoe form on his
shoulders, knowing that Max Man will think he is going to be
slammed heel first into the pile of dung again, and will revert
to human form. When Max Man reverts, Mantaro uses the
opportunity to grapple him into a Kinniku-driver hold, and lands
the move for a vicious finish on the canvas. Max Man is
finished. Mantaro is victorious.
Next we see Kevin Mask step to the side of the ring. Terry
and Gazelleman think he is going for Mantaro, and step in the
way, but Kevin Mask reveals that he is quitting the DMP, for
their lack of honor, and he removes his DMP shirt and rips it
into shreds. Mantaro immediately pulls out one of his shirts and
gives it to Kevin Mask, who let's it fall to the floor and
laughs that he isn't joining the Hercules Factory. He reveals
that he will go it alone, and as he turns to leave, tells
Mantaro that he will see him in the ring someday.
Once Kevin is gone, the big screen in the arena lights up
with an update from a Wrestling league elsewhere in Japan. It
shows Sunshine, along with his two protégés standing victorious
over the limp bodies of Gorgeous Man and the Barbarian. Meat.

Starting exactly where
we left off, we get a little of the background of Sunshine from
Meat, and all of the sudden, holograms of Sunshine and his goons
appear in the ring next to our heroes. Words are exchanged, and
Mantaro is seen pissing all over everyone and everything. The
holograms disappear and we are taken back tot he large screen in
the arena, where the conversation is continued. Sunshine
explains that he was one of the original founders of the DMP
along with Satan Cross and a shadow that seems to be Big the
Budo (Krangala for Taichi). He explains that he was booted out
because of his losses to the original Kinniku group, so he
formed his own group to conquer the Hercules Factory and the
treacherous DMP. They are called the Nightmares, and have logo's
that are a N*M on the chest (the * is actually the starburst on
Sunshine's chest). In the background, Barbarian comes too and
attacks the three baddies from behind, but one member of the
group, who heretofore was wrapped up like a mummy, bust out to
reveal Rex King (Tyranno Claw). Rex uses his left arm which is a
dinosaur tail to grasp the Barbarian and throw him into a
building in the background, causing the structure to crash to
the ground, as if a demolition team had been there. He then
reveals his entire persona and gives and example of what he can
do with his tail arm (left) and tyrannosaurus head arm (right)
by tearing to pieces a steel tower. They then want to know who
will challenge them from the Hercules Factory and Terry the Kid
volunteers. The match is set for noon the following day. Terry,
wasting no time begins the long journey on foot. The others take
a bullet train, as well as Rinko. Mantaro and Meat are seen
hugging the back of the train, hitching a free ride. In town,
Mantaro and Meat go in search of some food, and end up in a
small diner. Who else happens to be in the diner, but Sunshine,
in a long over coat and hat as a partial disguise. Conversation
ensues and Sunshine flashes back to times past. He recalls some
battle scenes including Kinniku Suguru and Kinnikuman Great
(Terry Man) defeating Sunshine and Ashuraman. Along with Buffalo
man changing sides from Sunshine's team to Suguru's team. It
also shows a few clips from the Golden Mask saga and Ashuraman
finally turning good and joining Suguru. Sunshine sheds a tear
for the lost ally. He rants and raves some more until he wisps
away as a sand cloud. Meat turning to speak to Mantaro, notices
that he is gone.
Mantaro is off to find some more food, and ends up in a
seafood restaurant. He runs up a 25000 yen ($255) tab and can't
pay it. He is about to be turned over tot he police by the head
waiter, when a stranger in a trench coat and hat (yup, you
guessed it - Sunshine) offers to pay the bill.
Next we see Terry the Kid in the ring that he will be
fighting in at noon, in a darkened arena. He shouts to Sunshine
and the other two that he is ready and doesn't need to wait
until noon.
Back to Mantaro and the stranger walking down an alley behind
the restaurant. Mantaro explains how it is odd that a stranger
would help him, but that he is indebted to him for his act of
kindness. Sunshine reveals himself and puts Mantaro in a not too
menacing one armed headlock and explains that he will gladly
take him up on the favor issue.
